Azure Data Engineer (Contract)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: £500 - £550 per day
 
About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will have significant experience working within an Agile environment and a deep knowledge of technologies such as Apache Spark, Microsoft Azure, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Azure permissions and authentication structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining robust data pipelines.
  • Managing and optimising data exchange processes.
  • Ensuring data integrity and quality across all data sets.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a data engineering role within a Finance industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Apache Spark, specifically via the PySpark API.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Synapse.
  • Extensive understanding of SQL, particularly with Synapse Server and Azure SQL.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Azure permissions and authentication structures, including EntraID, Managed Identities, Service Principles, etc.
